In November 2009, the network Sky 1 in the UK aired two television shows.  One was titled Michael Jackson: The Search For… His Spirit and the other was Michael Jackson:  The Live Seance.  They both look pretty sweet, even though I’ve only seen bits and pieces.

Basically, the crew travels around to locations that were held important events in Michael Jackson’s career and try to see if his ghost or spirit is haunting that location.  At one point, the psychic claimed to make contact with Michael.  I’m trying to find a copy of the shows for download (or better yet, streaming over the internet so I can embed them here) but for now, take a look at this preview on YouTube.

I’m a lonely dork so I watch a lot of ghost and paranormal shows, and the genre is getting REALLY tired (considering Animal Planet now has a ghost show where they show the same thing as everyone else, except oh, a household pet experienced the ghost too….. what a fucking stretch just to make the show suitable for Animal Planet… the sad part is, this show is actually one of the better paranormal shows out there).

This seems like a fresh twist on the paranormal genre.  Hunting for the spirits of the recently dead or spirits by going to locations that were important parts of their lives.  The only show that ever came close was an episode of Ghost Hunters International (the second most fake show ever, next to the original Ghost Hunters….. so so gay and pathetically fake) where the crew traveled to a place that Adolf Hitler visited like, once during the entire course of World War II, and claimed to capture an EVP that was absolutely Eva Braun.  So lame.

Anyway, this show is fresh, interesting, and they captured an EVP that sounded like a young boy saying “Michael” so they either captured Jackson, or one of his rape victims is also dead and haunting that location.  Oh, I’m sorry… I meant “innocent child playmates.”  Just watch the video.
