Dogs Don't Understand Basic Concepts Like Moving 

I normally don’t read blogs that others retweet, because they’re usually about complex geek related things, and that’s really not what i’m into anymore…. however, this blog article was extremely funny, and the writer of the blog is very, very funny.  She’s intelligent funny… so if you like Tracy Morgan… chances are this will be over your head.  But check out this post and see if you like some of her other posts.  Who knows… maybe you’ll be her next big fan.

Computers age faster than dogs

One year is equivalent to seven dog years.  So my puppy is 2 years old, but in “dog years” she’s 14.  This explains her disobedience and why she’s so obsessed with Robert Pattinson and The Hills.

But, one month is equivalent to one computer year.  So, a computer that you bought two months ago is two computer years old.  Take into consideration that most computers you buy in a retail store are about one month old, since they’ve been manufactured, shipped to the store’s main warehouse, then probably shipped to several smaller distribution centers, and then finally shipped to the individual store you purchase it from, and you’ll realize why people say that computers are outdated by the time you buy them.

This is why I try to buy all of my equipment directly from the manufacturer.  It still is outdated by the time I get it, but it’s less outdated.  It’s also why when I need something, I just buy it.  I don’t wait around to see if the manufacturer will release something new soon.  Chances are that they will, but it won’t matter, because when you buy whatever they just release, it’ll be outdated in a few months anyway.  Technology moves way too fast to be totally up-to-date.

Here is the deal:  I’m going to try to film a video podcast every day, or at least as often as I can, because sometimes it’s a lot more fun and easier than writing a blog post.

The first one was filmed a few days ago, but it’s really long so I need to edit it down, but I filmed one today with Lindsey Gaggini and Brittany Christopher, and here it is.
